CUEVAS TILLEARD PROJECTS is pleased to present Hot Town, a group exhibition of work by Joe Brittain, Rob Davis, Ryan Foerster, Kristen Jensen, and Sebastian Vallejo.

The artists in the show have been brought together through a common interest in repurposing banal materials or subjects, and a playful attitude towards art-making. Using fragments of reality or real phenomena as a starting point, their work thrives on building emotional content on the image plane without ever being too sentimental or kitsch. Rather, the works in this exhibition present an abrasive sense of warmth and humor - an attitude entirely necessary to surviving a steaming summer in the sweltering city.
